My First Blog Video aka Vlog | The Pink Beauty Experience

Last December, I created a list of 27 things I want to do before I turn 28.

One of those things is post 4 videos to my blog.

It's almost September, so I'm 9 months into this year, and I haven't posted any videos to my blog yet.

Until today.

Video is incredibly intimidating to me. I am a perfectionist so it seems daunting to be able to create a video worthy of sharing online. I fumble my words, and I get sweaty armpits when the camera is turned on me.

I shared this video goal as well as my video fears with my friend Jema when we met up to chat a few weeks ago. She has been wanting to incorporate video into her blog as well, and she proposed a challenge to us as we sat in Coco Moon. She wanted us to make a video right then, so we could post it on our blogs.

Um... my hair isn't done today! Did I put mascara on?! I can't do this - I don't have enough deodorant on!

I immediately started spewing out excuses.

But Jema gently encouraged me, saying we could try out video together. Share the nerves together.

So we did.

This is the video she shot on her cell phone, after I had finished talking to her about my personal photography project: The Pink Beauty Experience.
