Matt, BHS Class of 2014 | Brainerd, MN | Senior Graduation Photography

Matt is a senior at Brainerd High School this year.

He is a football player, as well as an avid outdoorsman. He loves to hunt and fish, and has the perfect truck to take him on those outdoor adventures.

I love when seniors have some ideas of things they want to do during their session, and Matt had lots of ideas for me. He wanted to incorporate all of those things he loves: football, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and his truck.

We had an early October snowstorm the morning of Matt's session. It isn't very often that you have fall colors still on the trees and snow on the ground. Lucky for us, Matt loves winter and snowboarding almost as much as he likes summer, so the green grass, colorful leaves and snowy ground were an awesome setting for his session.

Thank you for the awesome session, Matt! Thanks for your enthusiasm and for your ideas. I had a great time and love the photos we created! Enjoy the rest of your senior year and good luck next year!

Taylor is a senior at Brainerd High School this year.

We met for his senior session on a gorgeous fall day - sunny and warm. The perfect day.

Taylor is a football player and a wrestler. You can tell he doesn't take life too seriously and he has a lot of fun, all the time. It was fun to trek through the woods with him and his mom, making photo magic happen.

Alex is a senior at Brainerd High School this year.

He plays football and loves to hunt. LOVES to hunt, more like.

We had fun at his senior session; it was quick and painless. Right, Alex? :) Alex had hunting plans so we didn't waste any time. The birds were waiting!

As his mom said, we were able to capture Alex's laid back personality and attitude in these photos.

She is a senior this year at Brainerd High School and loves art, reading, spending time with her friends, and spending the summers at camp.

She brought her great sense of fashion to the session, including her awesome fedora that complimented her personality perfectly.

2012 Portrait Season Recap

This year, I photographed a wide variety of families and seniors. Some of the families ranged from 3 people while others had more than 20. I worked with seniors from many of the local schools, who had a wide variety of interests from sports to horses to spear fishing. No session was the same and no two images turned out alike. I surpassed my 2012 goals that I set for myself, because of these amazing families, couples and seniors who came to ask me to be their photographer.

To all of you who gave me your business in 2012, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was a pleasure meeting all of you and worked with you. I hope the photos we created are treasured for decades to come. xoxo, Laura

Parker | Class of 2013 Brainerd, MN | Senior Photography

Parker is a senior at Brainerd High School this year, and he spends his time with friends, hunting and fishing. We did two short sessions, one pre-haircut and one post-haircut, and each time, we kept them as short as possible because Parker's friends were waiting and there were ducks and grouse to hunt!

Chris | Crosby, MN Class of 2013 | Senior Photography

I met Chris at his house in rural Crosby for his senior session.

We wanted to incorporate the awesome fall foliage that was just past peak, along with his love of the Crosby Rangers, his computer and John Deere, into his session.

We had a great session as his mom, sister and pets looked on. I fell head over heels in love with his little kittens and if Matt wasn't allergic, I'd be on the hunt to adopt at least 2 kittens asap. Don't worry Julie - I didn't sneak one home with me in my purse, even though I desperately wanted to! :)

Chris's dream job is to design computer software, maybe with Microsoft someday. From the sounds of it, he's very driven and is well on his way!

Albert | Pequot Lakes, MN Class of 2013 | Senior Photography

Albert is a senior at Pequot Lakes High School, with the class of 2013.

His interests include playing his guitar and doing Tae Kwon Do, and his bucket list includes visiting Japan or China.

I met with Albert and his mom, Brenda, on a warm, sunny late fall day and we laughed our way through the session. Brenda has the photos to prove that I'm all over the place when I'm shooting - I call it 'creativity' but some might call it 'flailing around.' It was a good day.

Danielle | Brainerd, MN | Senior Photography

Danielle is a senior at Pequot High School.

She says two of her favorite things are playing the flute in band and riding/showing her horse, Pebbles.

On a warm Friday in September, on the day that our leaf color peaked in the Lakes Area, I met with Danielle at her home to take her senior photos. Along with her horse, and some awesome wardrobe choices, we had a memorable senior session.

Plus, she looks JUST like she could be Christina Applegate's little sister or daughter. Right??
