The Miller Family | Brainerd, MN | Family and Child Photography

A few weeks ago, I met the Millers at their lovely house in Brainerd for a family photo session.

The forecast called for rain but we got lucky and it was a beautiful late-fall day. A bit chilly on little boy ears, but nothing that mom and dad's hands can't fix.

We laughed, played outside, built castles out of blocks and played with the family dogs. It was a great day.

To the Millers, thank you for inviting me over to spend the morning with your family! It was amazing to meet you and to photograph you. Enjoy!

The Stephan Family | Brainerd, MN | Family and Child Photography

Ellen is one of my college roommates from my senior year at St. Scholastica.

Since graduation, she has gone on to become a Nurse Practictioner, she got married in 2008 [is that the right date, Ellen?] and now has a beautiful baby girl named Evelyn with her handsome husband Dave.

It was so incredible to have the opportunity to photograph Ellen, Dave and Evie a few weeks ago. They came up to Brainerd for the day and we met and played in the woods. Ellen has always been a great dresser, so I wasn't surprised that their outfits were amazing for their session. I think Evie is the best dressed baby ever!

The Cordes Family | Brainerd, MN | Family and Child Photography

This was my third year photographing the lovely Cordes family. The first year, they met me up in Nisswa for their session, and then last year, I went to their hometown of Hutchinson to photograph them.

This year, they ventured north again and we met in Brainerd for their session. The awesome local indoor water parks in the lakes area serve as a good incentive [bribe] to keep the kids motivated. :)

They wanted peak leaf color, and we sure got it! The weather was cold and drizzly, but that didn't stop us from playing outside. The three boys did fantastic, despite a couple tumbles and tears. But what do you expect from three young boys?

To the Cordes family, THANK YOU for yet another fantastic session! I treasure my time with you guys every year. I am already looking forward to next year, and seeing how the boys grow and change! xo!!
