As the story goes which was shared at their wedding, Jake was immediately smitten with Maari and began pursuing her somewhat relentlessly. Maari wasn't totally convinced that Jake was date-worthy yet though, and their first half a dozen plans for a first date fell through. Finally though, they did go on a first date, and the rest is history!
On a beautiful, sunny day in early August, they became husband and wife in front of their family and friends, as well as the biggest bridal party I've ever worked with. Their ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, topped off with a beautiful song sang by Maari's three brothers and their wives. So much talent in that family!
The party continued after the wedding at the Armory which was decked out to the max. It was a lovely mix of fairy tale twinkle lights and natural elements like twigs and birch bark. The toasts had everyone rolling in their seats, and Maari and Jake gave moving messages to each other.
And then, the dance started! That bridal party knows sure how to dance! The dance floor was packed and there were all kinds of awesome dance moves being shown off. Everyone gave the floor a spin, from the littlest of the guests to the older generations.
Maari and Jake - your wedding day was one giant celebration of your love, with those who are nearest and dearest to your hearts. It was an honor to be a part of it, and I hope these photos help bring the day back to life every time you look at them! xoxo, Laura
