Goodbye Vacation - Back At It

Last week, my family and I spent the week up at a boat-in resort in Ontario, Canada. For a Monday to Sunday stretch, I was completely unplugged and my business brain was shut off.

It was fantastic.

My family's annual vacations growing up were one spring break trip to Florida to visit my grandparents at the country club they lived at in the winter, and then one Canadian fishing trip in the summer. We did those two trips every year for the bulk of my elementary, junior high and high school, and even college years.

Now, my sister and I are both married, and so this year, the six of us went on the trip together. My parents, my sister and her husband, and Matt and I.

The trip can best be described as an adventure - full of mishaps and laughter, grumpiness and big fish. Once I get caught up with my photo work, I fully plan to blog all about the trip and share photos of the beautiful untouched Canadian wilderness.

Until then, I'll leave you with this photo of a Canadian sunrise over the lake which was covered in early morning fog. I woke up early and noticed the gorgeous view out the window. I took a couple of photos and then went back to sleep. I love vacation.

Stay tuned because I have two gorgeous weddings to blog in the near future, as well as a whole slew of other portrait sessions that are waiting to be shared!
