Catching the In-Betweens - Laura Radniecki Images: Weekly Photography Tips

Today's photography tip is about catching the in-between moments.

I love to take pretty photos. Posed portraits with people looking right at me. I do, I love these photos. There's a time and a place for this type of photo and I make sure I take a great sample of these type of images in my portrait sessions.

During my sessions though, I am also on the hunt for another type of image. Not posed, not perfect, not directed. Instead, these images are what I call the in-betweens. These are what happen in between posed photos. In between me giving directions for a specific photo. These are the in betweens of life, the little moments that would otherwise be overlooked.

I am always on the lookout for these in-between shots and if I am truly honest with myself, these are the photos that feed my soul. That really drive the authenticity of my heart and my brand. That showcase the true essence of the people in the photographs. This is why I do what I do - the in-betweens.
