Seeking Solitude

As you can tell, I'm still enamored by the option of adding texture to a photograph. It instantly transforms the photograph from something that was already lovely to begin with, but into something that resembles a dream - a masterpiece.

This photo came from Matt and my cross country road trip. It is from the coast along the panhandle of Florida. The sun was starting to set and we were passing by absolutely picturesque docks, I made Matt stop so I could get out.

This [plus some texturing] was the result.

If you are like me, and have been feeling the blah's of winter try to creep into your spirit, I hope you can stare at this photo and find some sort of serenity. Some type of refuge.

It does it for me.

Oh, and please, continue to pray for those affected by the devastation in Haiti, and also for Matt Miller. I haven't been updated on his condition, but as he begins the process of recovering from major surgery, he needs your prayers. Tonight, here's to hoping the doctors removed all of the cancer.
