While their initial impressions about each other were superficial [she noticed his "sexy gray hair" while he noticed her "tan skin"] it didn't take long before their attraction dove deeper. Kate loves how Jeff makes her laugh and how he isn't afraid to show or share his feelings. And Jeff loves how Kate keeps him grounded.
After a couple years of dating, Jeff proposed by a winter camp fire, after a horse-drawn carriage ride. Of course, Kate said yes, and the plans for their wedding began.
On a gorgeous day in early September, Kate and Jeff became husband and wife as they stood before 21 of their most cherished friends and family, in a lakeside ceremony at Kate's parents' lake home. The reception was at the beautiful Grand View Lodge, complete with good wine, a delicious dinner, and heartfelt toasts that provoked laughter and a few tears. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding day.
Kate and Jeff, thank you so much for your generosity and hospitality on a day that was truly all about you. I felt welcomed and appreciated, and I am grateful. It was an honor to work with you, and I wish you many years of love and happiness together. xoxo! Laura
