The Detke Family | Kavanaugh's Resort | Brainerd, MN | Extended Family Photography

The Detke family gathers together every year at Kavanaugh's Resort in East Gull Lake, MN. They commemorate their annual family vacation with a photo session. This year, I was blessed to be their photographer because of a generous referral from their usual photographer who was out of town during their stay.
The family was missing one granddaughter this year, as well as the family patriarch who passed away in early 2012. But knowing how important these photos are, they decided to continue the tradition despite a few holes. They are a vibrant and beautiful group; one that enjoys each other's company very much.
