My parents instilled a love of fishing in both my sister and I from a very early age. That hasn't dwindled with age, and now I am working on passing that love on to Matt.
Once the ice melts, my dad gets the boat ready and we head out in search of those little speckled beauties. The recent cold weather has messed with the crappies quite a bit but a couple of weeks ago, we went and caught some. I caught the most [not to toot my own horn, but ... TOOT! :)], and I managed to snap a few photos of the action too.
[For photographers - I was testing out my new toy, the Lensbaby; getting used to using manual focus and the selective sweet spot of focus with these shots.]
Spring crappie fishing is quickly slipping by, so I'm going to make a valiant effort to open my schedule up for some more time in the boat before summer comes and the crappies move into deeper water.
Loving the lensbaby! :) Fun stuff!
