Today, we're up to the WHEN aspect of Laura Radniecki Images.

The WHEN:

When should someone get their photos taken?

I believe the right time for photos is NOW.

No excuses - life is too short and time is too precious to waste.

It is so easy to put it on the back-burner, to push it to the bottom of the To-Do list. To say, "We'll do it soon." But pretty soon, another year has passed and you haven't done it yet.

Don't wait for your hair to grow a little longer, or for you to lose a few pounds. Don't wait until you make a couple more dollars. Now is the time to have your family photographed.

Get in front of the camera now. Make the appointment now.

I know it sounds cliche but it is so undeniably true. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. I have heard far too many tragic stories of people who put off having their photos taken only to have an accident or cancer hit their family before they could get around to it. Time doesn't slow down, it doesn't wait. And trust me, your family will thank you when they have those photos to look back on someday.

As much importance as I place on professional photography and making the decision to invest in your family's photos, I also place equal importance on taking photos of your everyday life. Even if you prop your camera up on the counter and set the timer, take a photo of your family around the dinner table. Take a photo of your kids in the middle of their mess of toys in the living room. Take a photo of your teenager as they study for a math test. Take photos of it all. One day, those seemingly little things will be the milestones of your life.

Up next is the WHERE of Laura Radniecki Images.

  1. Great message. It's so true. We're never going to look "perfect" or be in the "perfect" place. It's the real us, the real moments that will be treasured.
