Proud to be an American

On this 4th of July weekend, I plan to spend time with my family and my in-laws, be outside, watch fireworks, take photos of our life, laugh a lot and feel the lump in my throat I often feel when surrounded by patriotic spirit, flags, reverence for the military and happiness in being an American.

Despite the corruption, violence, sadness, negativity and all out horror that goes on in our country sometimes, I am so happy to call it home. God has blessed all of us beyond our wildest dreams, and for that, I am grateful.
