The Bowman Family - Brainerd, MN Family and Child Photography

I first met the Bowman family last summer when I photographed their family at their home. I love when I get the chance to photograph a family again because I get to see how the kids have grown and changed. Bonnie ask me about the possibility of photographing their family at the cabin, and about maybe getting some larger family photos while we're at it. I was all for it; family get togethers are precious occasions, and pass too quickly.

So on a warm, sticky day in early June, I went out to the family cabin in rural Aitkin and photographed the entire Bowman family. We were able to get some photos of everyone together, as well as some individual family photos of each group. Then, we finished the evening by having Bonnie and Jeff's family session. Their girls are now 1 and 3, and we tried to showcase them as they are, at this exact point in their lives. I think we did just that; captured the fiery, feisty spirit of their 3 year old and the happy personality of their 1 year old.

To all the Bowmans, thanks for having me out to photograph the tail end of your vacation! And to Bonnie and Jeff, thank you again, for choosing me to document a slice of your family's everyday life. I hope that in years to come, you'll look back fondly on these photos and remember your girls just how they were at this moment in time. xx, Laura
