Alysia + Billy - Brainerd, MN Wedding Photography

I have a real soft spot for love stories that span across years and endure their fair share of bumps along the way. I especially love the stories that start when the people are young. Why? I married my high school sweetheart, so those types of love stories tug on my heart strings a bit.

Alysia and Billy have a love story like that. Their story began 5 years ago - with NOT love at first sight. Alysia told me that Billy thought she was annoying at first and she thought he was just some young kid. Over the next 5 years, they became quite fond of each other and weathered the many storms that young love brings. This February, they were married on the beach in Cancun, Mexico. I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph their church ceremony once they returned from their trip. They truly got the best of both worlds: an intimate wedding on the beach with the most pristine backdrop imaginable, and then a ceremony in the church that Alysia grew up in.

Alysia and Billy - thank you for the laughs on your wedding day. That's what I love about you guys - you never stop smiling and laughing when you are together. That makes for happy photos!
