Pedicures fall under that category. I have a bucket full of nail polish and I'm semi-capable of painting my toes decently, and marginally decent [at least when painting my left hand] at painting my nails. Because of this, I usually paint my toenails and reserve professional pedicures for the most special of circumstances.
My parents know this about me and for my birthday, they gave me a gift certificate to get a pedicure at a local nail salone, Ja Mi Nails. I am going to Florida on Saturday with my parents, to visit my grandparents, so I decided it was the perfect time to get my pedicure.
My mom joined me tonight as I perused the selection of colors. I typically ALWAYS pick a variation of pick, so this time, I chose a bright teal. Ja Mi is a fantastic salon - it was not busy at all and it was beautiful inside. And the least chemically smelling salon I've ever been in. I highly recommend it!
Anyone who gets regular pedicures knows you are supposed to bring along a pair of flip flops to wear home, so you don't wreck your new polish by putting your socks back on. So as I was heading out the door on the way to the salon, I remembered I needed flip flops [haven't seen those things in months!], so I ran to my closet to grab some.
After my pedi was all done and I went to put my flip flops on, this is what I saw...

In case you can't tell by the photo, these are two left-foot flip flops - one black and one brown. I think they might be two different sizes too. I brought about quite a few curious looks in Subway after my pedi because of the fact that A] I was wearing flip flops in the middle of a Minnesota winter in the first place, and B] I had one on the wrong foot.
I have a bad case of winter brain. I clearly need that Florida vacation more than I thought!
Two left feet - is that an indication of your dancing ability? Cute, funny, and fun color!! FL sounds really good about now.
ReplyDeleteBahahahahaha! I am glad I am not the only person that has things like this happen to them. Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA that is so funny!
ReplyDeleteYup - enjoy that Florida vaca. I am jealous!
