Colton is my cousin's son - the first great-grandchild on my mom's side of the family. The last time I saw him, he was much smaller than he is now and I can definitely see both of his parents in him as he gets older. He has had a rough time these last few days because he's cutting new teeth, so he wasn't as smiley as usual during our shoot, I was told. But regardless, we worked some magic and managed to catch a few grins and lots pictures of his beautiful baby blues. The task was to freeze time and capture him just as he is right now, as an 11 month old - curious, unsteady on his feet, in love with his mom [and dad too, but he couldn't join us for the shoot] and puppy, and drawn to the voices of his grandparents. And a bit cranky as he welcomes in some new teeth. I think we succeeded - and these photos will serve as a way to remember him just as he was, when looking back in 5 or 10 years. Yanking Shadow around by the scruff of his neck, poking at puffballs and crunching leaves.
Melinda, Tony and Colton [and Nancy and Craig!] - thanks for having me take these photos for you. Enjoy! xoxo, Laura
Laura,
