Sometimes, the weather just doesn't do what you want it to do. This isn't usually a big deal; portrait shoots can often be rescheduled. Weddings, of course happen rain or shine. But portraits can usually be postponed until the weather improves. In the case of someone coming up from the cities, especially for a photo shoot, we are left with little choice for to give Mother Nature a run for her money and shoot anyway.

This is what happened with Amy, Kyle and Evan. After weeks and weeks of BEAUTIFUL fall weather, Saturday arrived in all of it's rainy glory. COLD, rainy glory. So, we found a canopy at a local park and eventually said 'ah heck.' And went out in the rain anyway. My camera is weather-sealed, no worries! Maybe not the ideal photo session situation. But we made it work regardless!

Evan is a spunky little guy who had the funniest belly laugh ever. It was a pleasure to spend the morning with this family. Amy, Kyle and Evan: thanks for coming all the way up to meet with me and let me photograph you guys. I love that Evan is addicted to Altoids and that we could offer a little extra incentive for his cooperation. I love how relaxed you all are together; I can tell that Evan is lucky to have you as his parents. The next time we meet, hopefully the weather will make up for how it was on Saturday! :) xoxo, Laura
