I Love My Public Library

Today was a wildly productive day on my end.

Well, mostly. I wore a cute winter hat that I bought this weekend with my mom, so that I didn't have to take a shower. Oops.

I answers emails, filed receipts, charged batteries, sorted and organized client folders, planned ahead through summer 2011, cleaned the closet, straightened up most of my gear, and finished it all by 5 pm. Oh yeah, I bought some business stuff, and paid almost as much in shipping as the product cost. I was a disgruntled shopper, but the alternatives would have cost me more overall. Ugh.

Anyway.

I finished my to-dos by 5pm and then curled up with the last of my library books that needs to be turned back in tomorrow. I spent the last 5 hours reading. Matt did homework, watched a movie and scratched my back as I read. It was the most perfect evening.

I'm going to restock my supply of library books tomorrow. I'm thinking I'm going to have to request some Lavyrle Spencer books from the other libraries that are affiliated with the local one here, because I've read all the ones our library usually carries. I love me some good, solid love stories by Lavyrle Spencer.

Also on a related note, I have been playing with my macro lens in the last few weeks since adding it to my system. At first, I was a little iffy about it, but the more I use it, the more I love it. I actually used it at a portrait lens last week and the bokeh is DIVINE. Seriously, I was squealing because it was so dreamy. But I've also had fun looking up close and personal at the fleeting outdoor beauty that will soon be brown, dry and dead. Until next spring. Spring growth, buds, and new beginnings will be a whole lot of fun with the macro next spring!

Love wins.
