Then, I photographed Jill, her husband and her daughter before Christmas last year - probably my 6th or 7th shoot total. They once again asked for my services this spring, as their little girl turned 1.
Jill and Kevin are happy with the photos that I have taken for them, and they share that with others. As a result, I have had new clients contact me, and I've done several shoots, thanks directly to them. Several more are in the plans. I am so thankful for her friendship and for her willingness to throw my name around in hopes of driving some traffic my way.
When Jill's sister and brother, who live in different states, came to visit this summer - Jill's raves about my photography prompted her sister to contact me for photos. Photos of her family turned into photos of the whole Teufert bunch - who were all gathered for the amazing occasion of having everyone in the same town, at the same time. That is something that happens rarely, when you have busy families, with little children, all living in different states.
The weather was a little ominous, with big clouds hovering over the lake, and a sprinkle of rain drops falling for half of the shoot. Just as we wrapped up and I put my camera away, the skies opened up and it began to pour. I had to sprint to my car, and the contract, which was out on the table outside, is now a bit wrinkled and ripped, and the ink a little smudged. God watched over us and kept the rain at bay until the last shutter clicked.
To the whole Teufert bunch, mostly Sara [and Jill!]: thank you so much for having me come out to spend the afternoon with you guys. There is never a dull moment with all the kids around. Enjoy the photos and I hope that every time you look at them, you're transported back to family time at the cabin.
