All She Wants To Do Is DANCE

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who offered up a prayer for the Swenson family. They will bury a Marine husband/son/brother on Saturday. My heart continues to break for them, and I hope that they can find peace in the promise of life after death.

I've been in a funk of sorts the last few days - and I'm not entirely sure why...

I think it is mostly due to the death of Curtis, and how close it hit to home for me. Also, because it instills fear into my heart for my friends who are still dealing with deployments at this time. My heart has just felt heavy.

I may or may not have had a pretty large pity party yesterday, too. My emotions just got the best of me.

But, today is a new day. As is the day after that. The sun is shining today, and the truth of the resurrection shines brightly. Although Curtis left behind a family and friends that are smack in the middle of their grief right now, God's promise remains. The sun will continue to shine. And they will smile again.

Until that happens, my prayers continue for them. I am sure they appreciate each and every prayer said.

Because I needed to see something uplifting, cute, hilarious and lovely, I have a special segment of photos to show you. These are near and dear to my heart for several reasons...

1 - They are of my friend Ashlee's daughters, Ava and Addie. These girls have been featured on the blog before and there will be more of them in the future. It's been so fun watching these girls grow from babies into little people, and I know this is only the beginning of fun experiences with them.

2 - There is just something amazingly precious about little girls in dance outfits. I feel instantly happier.

3 - I was a dancer for most of my life so I can only imagine that this was how my mom and dad felt, watching me through the big glass windows at my old studio.

Enjoy.

P.S. May I point out how, right as the class began to perform their dance at the end of the session for the families, Ava decided she was just too tired to go on. So, she sat down and rested her head on her hands. She even closed her eyes.

It was magical.

I loved every second of it.

[Ava, if you ever read this someday, I'm sorry, but these were just too cute not to post.]

Enjoy the little things today,

Laura
