Jay worked at the morgue at the medical school in Northa Dakota and Megan was a TA for the Occupational Therapy's anatomy class. From the first time they met, Jay knew he was interested in Megan. But Megan was dating someone else at the time.
Later, their paths started crossing on the weekends when they were out with friends. Megan was single now and Jay knew he was into her, so they started talking and becoming friends. As Megan puts it: "It took him a year and a half to make a move, but after that move we fell hard and fast."
Since 2010, the two have been inseparable. They share interests like cooking, reading and biking, and they just plain love being together.
On Saturday, June 22nd 2013, at Breezy Point Resort in Brainerd, MN, Megan and Jay read each other handwritten vows that brought everyone in attendance [including me] to tears. They became husband and wife while their family and friends looked on, crying and laughing along with them.
Their wedding and reception were infused with personal touches, many of which relate to their shared love of wine, and Jay's career in the wine industry. Table numbers relating to important years and numbers in their lives directed wedding guests to their seats, and corkscrew wedding favors dotted the tables. A table of cupcakes, cheesecakes and other desserts taunted everyone from the corner of the room, and the room was full of laughter as speeches were given, and everyone agreed that yes, "God is Awesome!" :)
Megan and Jay - it was such an incredible honor to be your wedding photographer. I am so thankful that Google brought you to me! ;) The love you two share is inspiring to witness, and I feel blessed that I was able to watch you promise forever to each other and become husband and wife. I love these images from your wedding, and I hope they make you as happy as they do me! Enjoy! xoxo, Laura
