The WHO - Laura Radniecki Images - Brainerd, MN Photography

Last week, I redid the FAQ page of my blog. It got me thinking about the questions people often ask me, and it made me ask myself some good questions too.

I am going to do a short series of blog posts that deal with Laura Radniecki Images: The WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, and HOW of my business.

My goal by the end of this series? To clearly convey who I am as a photographer, what I value and love to shoot, and the when, where, why and how it relates to my clients. I also want to shed a little light on what I am not.

Have you asked yourself these questions about yourself? It's a challenge and really made me dig deep to answer them.

First things first.

The WHO:

This question has two parts to me. Who am I, and who do I work with?

Who am I?

I am an authentic family, senior portrait and wedding photographer.

I am also a wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, Christian, and as of recently, an adult Kinship Partner!

I am a dreamer, slightly emotional, very enthusiastic and will sometimes talk your ear off.

I am also an introvert, which seems contradictory, but really isn't. I'm very shy until I am introduced to someone. Then, I'm not.

I recharge my batteries when I am alone, in quiet solitude. My favorite way to spend a weekend or an evening is with Matt, watching a movie.

I appreciate my family and friends and realize how lucky I am to have them. God has blessed me and for all of those blessings, I am continually grateful.

I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of photography. I believe in its necessity to preserve precious, otherwise fleeting moments, as well as the seemingly mundane details of everyday life.

Who do I work with? Who is the client that Laura Radniecki Images is the best fit for?

Because of the authentic nature of my photography, my sessions are conducted in a relaxed and fun way and result in genuine, unique and sometimes emotional images.

My photography is not traditional or formally posed. I don't shoot out of a studio, which makes it even less traditional.

My goal is to capture the true essence of the people that I'm photographing and to deliver them with authentic and classic images that will never lose their impact, appeal and beauty.

So, the type of client that Laura Radniecki Images is the best fit for is someone who embraces the authentic nature of my photography. Someone who isn't so much concerned about the "perfect" portrait - but instead wants to capture the true essence of their baby, children, or family.

I work with people who want photos that reflect the dynamics and relationships in their family. They want photos that show the way Dad loves his daughters. They want photos of the way an older brother helps his younger brother walk along the beach by holding his hand. They want photos that are unique to their family - that are not cookie-cutter images in front of the same backdrop as the year before.

As one of my most loyal and cherished clients told me once, she said the reason she loves my photography so much is that it captures her kids exactly as they are, at this point in time. The images show the little fingers, the baby teeth, the hair cuts and spunky attitudes that so perfectly embody her kids as they are, right now. Details that she might not remember twenty or thirty years from now. As she said, "I know that I will look at them when I am old (and a million times in between) and remember  this time in our lives and feel what it was like to be there, in that moment."

For people who are looking for genuine and timeless photos of the important people in their life, Laura Radniecki Images might be the perfect fit.

**Please note that photography is subjective and each person is entitled to their own opinions and desires. I am not condemning or badmouthing traditional photography or formal, studio portraits in any way. For those people who love them, they are perfect. I encourage everyone considering hiring a photographer to evaluate what type of photography they want, and to find a photographer that fits that vision. I believe there is a perfect photographer for everyone!**

Up next, the WHAT of Laura Radniecki Images.
