In mid-October, Matt and I decided to head out of town on a mini road trip. After our
40 day cross-country road trip in 2009, we have been itching to be back on the open road. Ot at least, I have. We visited South Dakota, the Badlands and the Black Hills in '09 but saw only the tip of the iceberg as far as sight seeing goes there.
On our way out west, we went through Watertown, SD and stopped at the Terry Redlin Art Gallery. This was our second time there and it was just as awesome as the first. The gallery showcases hundred of Terry's paintings and a great gift shop too. Plus, the gallery is free to visit and I swear, they have the nicest and cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in my life. It's the little things that count right?
No business, no internet, no demands. Just the two of us, in our car, exploring western South Dakota. Bliss.
The next photo is from Keystone, SD. Both times we have been out west, it's been in late October, which is the off season, so the smaller cities are pretty much shut down for the winter. Someday, we will make it out west while it is summertime. I want to go to this Dairy Queen!
More to come in the South Dakota saga in the days to come.
