This one is going to be similar but different - open to anyone willing to participate!
Here's the scoop. I want to have a contest that centers around happiness and thanksgiving. Because next week is Thanksgiving. [HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??? I SWEAR IT'S STILL AUGUST.] I want each of you to think back on this year, and think about what made you happy; what you are thankful for.
1. I want you to choose your FAVORITE photo of 2011. I want you to pick the photo that reminds you of everything you are thankful for; the photo that gives you the most happiness when you look at it. Maybe it's a photo from your summer vacation, a photo taken while you were at the beach, or maybe just sitting around a bonfire in your backyard. Whatever the photo is, and whenever it was taken - it has to make you happy and thankful when you look at it.
2. Then, I want you to attach that photo in an email to me, with the subject "The Give Thanks Contest" - lauraradniecki@gmail.com. In one or two sentences, tell me why you chose that photo, and why you love it. Be sure to include your name in the email.
3. From there, I'll upload all of the entries into an album on the Laura Radniecki Images Facebook Page and announce the start of the contest. The same rules as the 2011 Wedding Contest will apply - the photo to get the most "Likes" will win! Comments are great, but aren't counted in the winning tally. You'll want to tag yourself in your image, and tell your family and friends to vote. The "Share" option on Facebook now makes that super easy to do. One click, and you've spread the word!
There will be a gift for the winning photo.
I haven't decided on a start and end time yet for this contest. I'd like to start it on Monday and have it run until Thanksgiving morning, but that will depend on how many entries I get by Monday.
Are you in?
Start looking back over your photos from this year. They don't have to be pro photos, they can be camera photos or cell phone photos. As long as they're PG rated, let's see them!
Email me with any questions. I can't wait to see the photos that made you happiest this year! Despite trials, tribulations, and unhappy times in our world, we have so much to be thankful for.
