A Florida Walk

One of the things that I miss most when winter comes is being able to go on a walk outside. Ok, yeah - I could walk in the snow, but A] I don't like being cold and B] Yeah... I don't like being cold.

My parents and I took full advantage of being able to head outside for a walk without bundling up, while we were in Florida for the week. We walked around the park at Carefree, and then went to the neighboring golf course/residential area as well. The photo opportunities were endless - from the green grass, the spanish moss covering the live oak trees, the flowers, the sandhill cranes, and even ant hills... It is all a change from the white snow and brown trees that we're surrounded with right now in Minnesota.

A change of scenery seems to give me a fresh perspective and a renewed appreciation for the simple beauties. This walk affirms that.

  1. Walks do give us a lift better than most anything. And, yes, it takes way more effort to go out there in the middle of winter in MN. I went for a walk on Sun to try out my camera. My pics don't hold a candle to yours, but the walk was lovely just the same.
