Christmas at This Old Farm

This year, my parents, Matt and I went to something new in the days leading up to Christmas. We went out and walked through the Pioneer Village at This Old Farm. It was an amazing collection of old buildings, all decorated for Christmas. There was a heated building complete with hot chocolate and popcorn which we visited to warm up after walking through the whole village. They had tractor rides that would take you through the loop of the village too, but we walked instead. I didn't even notice how cold it was because we were too busy saying 'Oh, cool! Come look at this!' or 'Oooo, look at this one!'

I've been out to This Old Farm once, probably 15 or more years ago. It is now part of Paul Bunyan Land, which helps to draw more summer business out that way. I liked the Holiday Village so much, I want to go visit in the summer too.

Oh! And this place would be the NEATEST location for a photo shoot - any kind. Family, engagement, pre-wedding photos. All of it, it's got such a variety of buildings and I'm sure grass/landscaping in the summer. What an awesome place!!

I think this is going to be something we do again next year. If you are from the Brainerd Lakes Area and didn't get out there this year, make a point to do it next year! You'll be happy you did!
