I hadn't until one of bloggers I read frequently talked about them in one of her posts. Since then, I have seen their ads all over the internet. I'm hooked.
The philosophy behind these shoes is amazing. One for One. For every pair of shoes that is purchased, TOMS Shoes donates one pair to a child in need. I read that this September, they will donate their 1 MILLIONTH pair of shoes, in less than 5 years.
WOW.
Since discovering these shoes, I've been a little obsessed, looking at them every few days. I'm frugal by nature, and almost never spend more than $25 on a pair of shoes. Most of my shoes come from Target - Clearance. But these shoes seemed special.
Not only is the One for One amazing, but the shoes are neat looking, and seem like a good flat - in between being dressy [& usually uncomfortable to me] and casual. I could wear them with a dress and it would be ok for shooting weddings.
Still, I didn't feel exactly justified in spending almost $50 on shoes. Then, I shot 7 portrait session in 9 days - then I figured it was time to order my TOMS. So I did.
P.S. Any time you are going to order things online, google '_______ coupon codes' first. For example 'TOMS coupon codes' revealed a coupon code for $5 off. Score! I have found discounts for all kinds of companies. I can never find any that apply to what I'm buying off of Amazon or B&H, but I've found some for many other companies. Try it!
Anyway, yesterday, my TOMS came. Here they are. And as I type this, they are on my feet. Comfortable, Yes. Cute, YES. Am I in love? Oh yeah.
I'll be buying more in the future.

SUPER cute! I love! the red. :)
