Tracy and Troy - [Sneak Peek] - Lifestyle Wedding Photography

I was doubly blessed this weekend because I got to witness TWO couples become husband and wife, one on an amazing holiday.

The second wedding of the weekend and of my photography career to date was the joining of Tracy and Troy. I'll write more about their story when I chronicle their day more completely, but it's kind of like the Rascal Flatt's song, "God Bless The Broken Road." They both have pasts that led them to where they are today - together. Just where they're supposed to be.

Tracy and Troy - thank you both for giving a photographer new to the industry a chance. I am beyond blessed that I got to spend the 4th with you and your amazing family; I felt welcome from the first minute I walked through the door. I hope these photos will always transport you back to this wonderful day and remind you of the love that brought you together.

Many more to come.

[And a side note - I'm linking this post to Sweet Shot Tuesdays because that last shot - the one of Tracy and Troy on the dock, in front of the fireworks, is one of my most favorite shots I've EVER taken. It was Tracy and Troy's idea and they tentatively approached me with it. By this time, it was pitch black out, past 10 pm - but with the miracle of pro grade ISO and the light from the firecracker, we were rewarded hugely. I can't help but smile and feel goosebumps when I look at that sweet, sweet photo. If you are visiting from SST, WELCOME and I hope you stop by again.]

Sweet Shot Day

  4. Great shot!! What a neat idea. :) I'm not sure that I would know how to catch that shot. I still need to work on learning the controls of my camera.
    It turned out magical!

  5. OK, you've really tweaked my interest? What is pro grade ISO? Super high speed? Just leave your answer here and I'll check back... Amazing shot!

  6. Thanks for dropping by and leaving some sweet love, gals. I appreciate it!

Dana - By pro grade ISO, I mean the capabilities of going into 3200 and even 6400 ISO on the Nikon D700. With my Sony a200, if I went even to ISO 400, the photos would be so grainy, you could barely even see someone's face. ISO 800, forget it! But the D700 - it's unreal! Yes, there's grain if you look at this photo up close, but it's almost maxed out! I believe it was at 3200 when that photo was taken. It's quite unbelievable when you compare the quality of high ISO photos from an entry level camera to a pro camera. Photos taken in bright day light might not be a whole lot different but low light photos - there is a major, major difference.

Did I explain my reasoning clearly? Haha! Sometimes I feel like I'm just rambling... :)
