Sisters

The Hensel family has always been a family of four.

John, Kathy, Laura and Erica - parents with two daughters; just the four of us.

Erica and I had the typical sisterly relationship: me as the older, bossy one, and Erica as the younger, sometimes sensitive one. We fought like crazy and made up quickly. She was and still is one of my best friends.

Neither of us has ever had a brother. All we knew was what it meant to be sisters. To have a family of primarily girls.

That changed on December 29th, 2007 when I left the Hensel name behind and became a Radniecki. Matt became Erica's long-awaited brother [in-law].

Now, I am about to find out what it is like to have a brother [in-law].

In August, my sister will leave the Hensel name behind and take on a new one. Our family of now 5 will expand a little further and now become a family of 6 - 2 daughters and 2 son-in-laws.

I cannot wait for that day.

Enjoy the ride,

Laura
