My Thankfulness in 2009

I love Thanksgiving. Good good - good company - good memories. I also like the idea of giving thanks for the blessings in your life. We really are so blessed beyond our comprehension, so days like this that try to get us to stop and appreciate it are invaluable.

A lot has happened this year for Matt and I. I'm working on a Christmas letter to convey it all and it might just end up being size 4 font to accomodate all of it! Haha, kidding. But a lot really has happened. We have been so blessed and I am really thankful for everything.

This year I am thankful for:

-My husband Matt.

-My family and my in-laws.

-The opportunity I was given to live in Hawaii for 9 months.

-The opportunity Matt and I have had in the last few months to do so much traveling; to see his family in CA and to explore the American countryside.

-Our health.

-The future and the opportunities that lie ahead. Matt and his plan for college; me and my plan for my photography.

-The gift God gave me in urging me to follow my passions. Photography has been the biggest change and leap for me this year, and I wouldn't have been able to get to where I am now if it weren't for God's gifts, Matt's support, my family and friend's interest, and a LOT of faith. I am so thankful for where it has taken me and so excited to see where it goes in the future.

-I'm thankful for the years we spent in the Marine Corps. It was a frustrating life at times [a lot of times] but we were given the opportunity to live and travel to a lot of different places, we met so many great people, and it's done great things for the two of us as people. It will always have a special place in our hearts :).

I could probably go on for hours, but I think this probably tackles the biggest ones. I am so excited to see what the next year brings us as we go back home and get to spend quality time with our friends and families after so much time away. My sister is planning her wedding, so I'm thrilled to be able to be around for some of the plans for that.

Life is really good!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and I pray that you enjoy the food and the time that you spend with your friends and families. Even in hard times, there is so much to be thankful for.

God bless all of you.

Laura
