Visitors and school books!

July is half over now, which is hard to believe! Time is flying so fast. Matt is half way through his MACK accelerated classes through both the Marines and Hawaii Pacific University, and he's doing so well. They are condensing 9 weeks of Math and English into a 4.5 week class. He's been up to his ears with homework but hey, it's all paying off and he'll be getting college credit for this! I also keep saying that it'll make it so much easier of a transition for him when he goes to school back in Minnesota. It's not going to be a condensed class like this, so he'll be surprised at how easy it will be for him. Things always seem to work out for the best, don't they!?

My parents were here for a week and it was the best week ever. Having visitors really jump starts my appreciation for this island. We got out and saw so many things on the island, both things I have done and seen before, and some that were new to me as well! We finally found Turtle Beach and spent lots of time looking at all the turtles. We snorkeled three different times and saw amazing sea life. Much to my mom's happiness, we did a lot of hiking too. I was sad to see them go, and I think they were a little reluctant to leave too. Now we are waiting on my sister and her [as of July 3rd!] FIANCEE to come and visit us at the end of August. After that, it'll be only another month until we head to the mainland.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their July! The weather is nice and the days slow down... each day offers something new for us to see and enjoy.

God bless you all, until next time.
